Ok so here it is... Dirty Dancing

As mentioned in the previous post...

At the New Year Eve party we went to there were loads of young, hip and happening people (the friend who invited us is an ad exec)...

So after dinner we start dancing and I see this very skinny, sexy and attractive woman. Probably around 30-35? Straight harshly cut perfect blonde hair, long nails, skimpy black outfit etc. She was doing lap dancing type moves with her partner though, and although she was sexy she was just a little too aggressive and forward KWIM? Very stripper type moves and attitude.

Anyway so I point her out to Richard and he agreed that she was sexy, but a bit too Barbie doll-like and was going a bit far with the raunchy stuff ....

Next thing he goes off leaving me on the dance floor, so I am just happily dancing alone... and this woman grabs my hand and starts dancing with ME!
Shocked
Okaaaaay..... I felt like such an uncoordinated DORK next to her, and def felt like the 'guy' in the pairing. But then she started twirling me around and then rubbing her breasts against me and undulating on me...!
Shocked Shocked
I was like OMG WTF is going on here!??? And I was all conflicted about whether I should
try to actually dance like that with her so I didn't look like an uncoordinated buffoon, or not - because er there were people watching.

When the song ended I high tailed it out of there. So I find Richard putting the kids to bed and tell him what happened, and that he needs to come save me.

His response....? 'Kids get the camera!'
Rolling Eyes Laughing
Oh and I have been told that she may have been testing the waters to see if I/we might have been interested in swinging with her/them!

What a way to end the year!

Fab New Years Party!

We were invited to a New Years party a few weeks ago. It's a friend we haven't seen in quite a while, about a year. So we weren't 100% sure if we would go.... We get on well with her, but live quite far apart and don't have much in common so we seldom see her any more (Her ex was Richard's business partner a few years ago...) Anyway the invite said she was having a house party in Camps Bay. It sounded nice, but I thought it would be a small and quiet evening, and I was thinking of doing something a bit more wild... anyway the days went by and we didn't plan anything else properly, so we accepted her invite gratefully. We then got invited to another house party by a closer friend, whose children are friends with the boys, but we had to decline as we had already accepted the other one.....

So yesterday we set off with the boys to Camps Bay, with our cooler box of drinks and snacks, for our little party in Camps Bay. We also took our special magnum bottle of Pierre Jourdan Brut, to celebrate New Year and our pending 10 year anniversary!

Well we were not prepared for what we found! Our cooler box went unopened because, our friend has a new beau in her life and he has just bought this Camps Bay house which he is planning to renovate extensively, and he had decided to have a huge party in it as is before the renovations.

The party was fully catered, with at least 10 catering staff, there were chill out areas in the garden and the whole place was decorated in Bedouin décor all over it was magical. There was a DJ and open bar too!

There must have been at least 100 people there, we got welcome cocktails at the door, served in Martini glasses. The house is STUNNING and has the most spectacular views of the ocean, Lion's Head and the 12 Apostles and Oudekraal etc and the best part is you can hardly see any other houses. It's breath-taking.

We lounged on bright cushions in the garden, sipping cocktails until we were called in for dinner: Fillet, Yellow Tail Fish, Chicken, loads of stunning salads, cous cous, breads etc etc etc. We ate till we were full. Then while lounging and chatting some more dessert was set up right in front of us in the garden. 2 chocolate fountains! One white and one dark chocolate with strawberries, marshmallows, wafers, fudge, Turkish delight, watermelon, grapes etc etc. Can you say heaven!? I think my boys thought they had died and gone to heaven. :)

After all that is was definitely time to get up and get moving. There was quite a young crowd, lots of sexy girls and loads of young guys. ;) Some of them were very funny to watch. Very colourful and bizarre people!

Anyway the DJ got going and we all started dancing. Griffin danced with me for a bit and then the boys went to bed at around 10pm or so. While Richard was off settling them in their sleeping bags I had an interesting encounter with another woman on the dance floor. (Might tell you more another time!)

Richard came back and we danced and danced and danced. At midnight we popped our Magnum Bottle of Pierre and shared it with our hosts. The bubbly did it's thing and we danced and danced. at 1:30am the DJ left and the host took over with his own music selection on his laptop fed through a serious music system. I drove the play-list for a while (someone thought I was a DJ LMAO). I do vaguely recall yelling 'DJ Jane is in da house!' at some point. *blush* Hehehe.

Anyway we tried to leave at 2:45am, but the music made us stay so we finally left after 3:30am.

It was a ROCKING party, and one of the best New Years we have ever had!
Happy 2008 to everyone!!!!

Griffin the cycling champ goes to see a movie

I took the kids to go see the movie Enchanted today. They cycled there (I ran) about a 6km round trip.

Griffin wore this, and kept the helmet and glasses on throughout the movie. He looked adorable!

At one point he had his glasses at the bottom of his nose and he was peering over them... I wish I had taken my camera with me...

He watched the kissing scene with a covered gasping mouth, and yelled a big 'YESSS!' when the princess woke up!

He was very chuffed with himself when we got home. You'd think he'd just won the Tour De France.

Lazy summer days at the beach

Well although we have never been into the beach much before it seems we are finally staring to become beach people after all....

I took the boys to Fish Hoek beach the day after Christmas - and got horribly burned. It was a cool day and I foolishly decided to actually sit out in my swimsuit. I normally stay covered up. My skin just can't handle the sun. I am still really red and sore 3 days later.

Quinn however now LOVES swimming in the sea and I have to call him back because he goes out further then anyone else! He's become a real aqua boy (a far cry from the baby that hated the cold, sand, wind and waves )

Here are photos from that day:

Then they went shopping with their Birthday party Sportsman's Warehouse vouchers this morning and both chose Boogie boards. So we packed a late afternoon picnic and went to Camps Bay to try them out and watch the sunset.

On the way home I spontaneously decided to go to Bacinis for a pizza dinner. YUM! We haven't been there since Q was under a year old... their pizza is delicious.

Here are photos from today:

We are actually having a wonderful holiday despite 'just' staying at home

The Christmas Crackers & My surprise gift

Do you remember...?

1 ) Quinn made our Christmas crackers with personalized notes...?

Well we got to open them at lunch time today and mine said, "Remember to use your knife and fork, to eat your pork"

And there was a picture of a demented looking Santa saying 'Ho ho ho'. Hrm!!!!?

Richard's said, "To be the best dad, buy me something"

LMAO Laughing Laughing Laughing

2) When Quinn spent DH's R20 on a school outing and didn't bring any change back? I told him off, even after he said DH didn't mind, and eventually he told me he had spent the money on a Christmas gift for me...

Well this is what he bought... he wrapped it up himself and kept it a secret all the way till now.

Aw, how sweet! I love it!!! *beame* Very Happy Very Happy

He said he bought it at the beach and had to bargain with the vendor because it was meant to be R30 ;) That's my boy!

Twas the morning of Christmas...

and all was going well....

Until Griffin knocked over the Christmas tree and pissed me off... and now I am hiding in my room.

We went - Back to School!

Our annual go-all-out-and-party night was on Saturday. Yep it was time for MCQP .

As usual it was a total BLAST! I love love going. It was my 8th time attending and Richard's 10th! (1998-2004, 2005, 2006)

The theme was Matric Dance - Back to School. So Richard and I dressed up as 'Head Boy and Head Girl'.

We were most drawn to the 'Hits' dance floor where they were playing all the music that was
around when we really were in Matric. I had been looking forward to hearing my fav song at the moment there, and nearly missed it, but made it for the second half of a wicked remix of Mika's 'Relax' just in time!

We got home at 4:30am...
Shocked
Boy did I feel half dead yesterday.... I literally did nothing but lounge around, read and sleep.

Here are a few pics:
More of our pics here.

There are Thunda.com pics HERE (don't think they got us) and GayPeer pics here, a press article here and more here.

Adderley Street Christmas Market

We just spent the evening at the Adderley Street Christmas Market and Lights.

This is how it's done.

First: You have to get ready, with lots of giggling.... To look like this!
Quinn has 'spikey hair', Griffin has 'Tuxedo hair':

Then we get there, walk around and look at the lights:

Then eat popcorn drink cold drink and walk all around the market finally buying a trick bubble gum dispenser to add to your magic collection. Mom decides to be a sport and graciously accepts the stick of 'bubblegum' you offer, only to scream like a frightened banshee when she realises the thing REALLY kicks. (Yoh! My arm went lame for a while, that thing is vicious!)
Shocked

Then you have to buy yourself an ice-cream:

Then enter a dance competition. Surprise your family by dancing really well despite being the only whitey entering, and being shy, and being from a family of dancing retards - AND WIN a BIG heart shaped sucker for your cute robotic sliding movements:

and give it to mommy!

Very Happy Very Happy

Fun!
